the nassfeld in the carnic alps is a saddle between the austrian gail valley and the italian canal valley. the pass height is at 1530m. the surrounding mountains are the gartnerkofel (2195m), the rosskofel (2239m) and the trogkofel (2280m). more than 1000km of marked hiking trails lead through the nassfeld at heights from 600 to 2800m. in short: in summer as in winter, a visit to the beautiful surroundings is always worth the trip.
